Now is this proportionate in terms of a disposal: http://www.gscc.org.uk/NR/rdonlyres/5ACC11F0-B8F9-4647-A690-9C85F7DF986C/0/NOTICEOFDECISIONMainsahKiven.pdf
A five year admonishment – why? Are the GSCC effectively deciding to stop the woman working? We think so.
The Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) will have a record and her CRB check will show the convictions. What exactly are the GSCC achieving by adding a 5 year admonishment? They just love to pile on the shit whenever given the opportunity.
This disposal is so disproportionate – indeed it is outrageous.

Now if this woman had appeared before the NISCC a 5 year admonishment would have been the very least sanction that she would have got and I doubt whether that is all that it would have been. The good people at the NISCC would almost certainly have been more severe. If I recall accurately they have yet to have get their teeth into someone for such a dastardly "crime" and they would surely feel the need to show that they will act suitably strongly to protect the NI public from such terrible malfeasance. A case like this would probably whip up a veritably righteous fervour in the NISCC. It would be a golden opportunity to stand on the side of righteousness and show the NI public their moral rectitude in protecting them. My guess would be that it would end up with at least a suspension or possibly even removal. She is lucky that she is working on the mainland where there are lots of social work posts. She would end up a pariah here and never be able to work in social care again. NI has never been strong on enlightenment but is much stronger on damnation. That is why the NISCC does not appear to have any sanction less than a 5 year admonishment, in stark contrast to the other UK social care regulators.
